What is a voided return?

What does it mean when a sale's status is Voided Return in the sales history?

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Retail POS on iPad

Answer

Voided returns are created when a return is started at the sell screen and then a user selects Discard OR when a user goes into the Sales History and Voids a return. 

Additional Information

• Voided returns do not return any inventory to your store as a standard return would. 
• Once a return has been voided, you cannot void the original sale.
• If you did not intend on voiding the return, you can recreate the return.
