How to manually apply a refund to a sale

Objective

Manually apply a refund to a sale through the sales history.

Setup

  •  Retail POS for PC or Mac

Steps

  1. Sign in as an admin or manager
  2. Click Sales history
  3. Search for the sale
  4. Click on the sale
  5. Click Return items
  6. Click Refund
  7. Type the amount (this should be a negative amount, -10 for example)
  8. Select the payment type
  9. Click Complete Refund
  10. Click Complete Sale

Additional Information

When manually applying a refund to a sale, the refund will be contained in the current open register closure.
