How to run a promotion or sale on Shopify

Objective

Use Shopify's Compare at Price feature to show a discounted price in Shopify.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Shopify Integration

Steps

1. Change the retail price in Retail POS to match the discounted price
2. Navigate to the Product on Shopify
3. In the pricing section, enter the higher initial price in the compare at price field

Additional Information

• Retail POS will always send the final retail price to Shopify
• The retail price in Retail POS will be visible online in your Shopify store as the actual retail price
• For example, if a products retail price is $20 but you want to show that it has been discounted to $15. Update the price in Retail POS to the discounted price and then the compare at price to be the original price
• If you don't want to modify the retail price, proceed with steps 2 and 3 to show a lower price in Shopify.
