How to disable inventory tracking for a product

Objective

Turn off inventory tracking for a product.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Find the product in the list
3. Click the pencil icon to the right of the product
4. Click Track Inventory for this product (this should now be unticked)
5. Click Save

Additional Information

Retail POS will not log any inventory levels or inventory movements for your products which include sales, returns or exchanges, stock orders, stock transfers, and inventory counts. 

Products with inventory tracking disabled will also not appear in the Inventory Report or Inventory Count.

Enabling inventory tracking will log new movements going forward but will not log movements that occurred while it was disabled.
