How to find the parent variant of a product

Objective

To identify which variant is the parent to prevent making the entire product inactive when managing variants.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

1. Navigate to the Product page.
2. Search the variant product. Using one of the variant's SKUs will filter that variant product.
3. After confirming only the variant product is included in the results, click Export file.
4. The first variant from the export is the parent variant of the product.
