Dymo Labelwriter skipping labels on the label roll and giving an unknown error

Problem

When trying to print labels on a Dymo Labelwriter, labels are getting skipped and the printer errors out.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC

Cause

This occurs when generic non-Dymo labels are used to print. The reason for this is that the markings on the back of the labels are specially designed for Dymo printers, whereas generic labels aren't designed for use in Dymo printers. 

Solution

Using authentic Dymo labels will resolve this issue.
