How to change the order of variant attributes on Shopify

Objective

Re-order variant product attributes in Retail POS to change the order they appear in Shopify.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Shopify Integration
• Spreadsheet editing software

Steps

1. In Retail POS, click on Products
2. Use the Filter(s) to find the desired product(s)
3. Click on Export List and export as a .CSV
4. Open the .CSV file
5. Delete the Stock Level information after the Track_Inventory column for all outlets
6. Rearrange the information in the fields variant_option_one_name, variant_option_two_name, variant_option_three_name and variant_option_one_value, variant_option_two_value, variant_option_three_value so that it reflects the order you want them to appear in on Shopify

7. Save the file
8. Back in Retail POS, click Import on the Products page
9. Select and import the file you have edited
