Why is the final count in the Scanner (X-Series) app different than the inventory count on my computer?

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Scanner 

Answer

The counted total in the Scanner app represents the number of units counted overall while the inventory count on your computer shows the number of SKUs included in the count. 

Additional Information

For example, you're doing an inventory count for 1 product that has 10 units in stock. the Scanner app will show a final total of 10 while the inventory count on your computer will show 1 for the SKU you're doing the count for.
