How are customers linked between Retail POS (X-Series) and Xero?

Question

When an on-account sale is posted to Xero, when is a new contact created in Xero and when is the customer associated with an existing contact?

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Xero integration

Answer

A customer in Retail POS will be linked to a customer in Xero if the contacts have the same customer name and email address.
